"Inner Worlds"

Café Lua's new exhibition "Inner Worlds" by Adrian Hogan will be launching this Friday 14th September! Crazy illustrations to be expected, so catch it before the art comes down 16th October.

Happy Day Death Ray.

Happy Day Death Ray is a new electronic / hip hop project that I've started with Steve Burton. The two of us decided that we should write rhymes inspired by cool movies and rad action heroes, so we did. A week and a half later, we wrote four songs and made a video. Here's the final video teaser (which was written, recorded, filmed and edited in a day) for our facebook launch. Check us out for updates!

The track featured in the video can be downloaded for free on our bandcamp.

Slutmonster And Friends.

So one morning, Jessie asks me to help her with her Slutmonster poster in return for doing a thing that I like which involves several different types of chilli peppers, an overweight Shetland pony and a g-string... plus, she will play the Australian national anthem while crying the whole time. I did the poster.

"The Ordinary Children"

New art going up at the café this Friday 17th of September from the talented and beautiful Ayano Takeuchi.

Ayano was also the winner of Café Lua's "First Time" art competition held in December 2011.

"Little Omens".

Lauren Olney makes her return to the exhibition world with "Little Omens" at Café Lua. The launch party will be on Friday the 13th of July from 6:30-8:30pm, hope to see you there!

Sepenthecology Exhibition

Artists Bobby Harrington and Veronica Fisher have collaborated for their new show at Café Lua titled "Sepenthecology". Exhibition will run from 11th May til 14th June with an opening party on Friday the 11th May from 6:30-8:30pm. Bobby Harrington will be having a live projection screening at the launch, so come for the opening to check it out!

Exhibition with Laura McAuliffe.

Here's the poster for Café Lua's second exhibition with the talented Laura McAuliffe. Her piece "The Solidarity In Confusion" was one of the highly commended winners for Café Lua's First Time art competition that was held in December 2011. So come drop by on the evening of April Friday the 13th for the opening, or be sure to pop into the café and check out the exhibition before it ends on May 9th.

Cheating Sons Live at the Esplanade Visual Teaser.

Best viewed in full screen, here's the teaser with some of the visuals I have prepared for the Cheating Sons sold out performance tomorrow night at the Esplanade Recital Hall. There will be around 10 different looping visuals that will be projected onto large screens above the band as well as a special animated sequence with my remix of their track, "Last Queen".

Cheating Sons visuals.

My latest big project over the past month has been creating visuals for Cheating Sons, filming and editing videos that will be projected onto three large screens above the band for their performance at Esplanade's Recital Hall. Above is a still taken from one of seven videos I have completed.

Café Lua's first exhibition of the year.

I have just started my role as a curator/designer for Café Lua, and 2012 will be kicking off with "Little Bits", an exhibition by the talented Jessie Ngaio.

So come down to the opening night on Friday 9th March as there will be a guest performance by experimental sound artist CV Slime 800 and his modular synthesizers, a raffle and a game of "Pass the Parcel"... which Jessie promises will blow your mother loving socks off.
