Over the past couple of weeks, I have been doing design for Yann and his company, Rogue Merchants. They specialise in sourcing premium boutique wineries and craft brewers and spirits, and distribution around the ASEAN region... including Taxi Pilsner, yummy beer.
Work begins with experimental sounding band, Die Vader Die. Led by talented vocalist and close friend Lutfi, this will be an exciting project involving lots of illustration.
Busy, busy, busy... been in Sydney recently catching up with my beautiful family and friends, then loaded with work back in the office... started a new Twitter, then obsessing over this one... also been preparing for group exhibition, thinking randomly aboutthis girl and drinking lots of Nigori sake.
I've always had a fascination with old books, especially those with names or birthday wishes scribbled on first page. I usually pick up a few illustrated children's books at the market, but last Sunday I stumbled upon three really beautiful old hardcover books, and I've already started to illustrate in the first one, "The Hunters' Feast".
