Pomme De La Pomme.

Aviv (aka Girl Pomme) and myself will be debuting as Pomme De La Pomme at the Dumb Arts exhibition/party this Saturday, July 2. Organized by Saint One Twenty and curated by the talented Jessie Ngaio, the venue is in the northern suburbs at 70 Beavers Rd, Northcote. We will be ripping into 2-3 songs during our short performance so stay tuned for videos!

Sketchbook Projects 2011 digitized.

My submission for Sketchbook Projects 2011 has just been digitized! It is currently exhibiting in San Francisco, and my "Boys and Girls" themed sketchbook will continue traveling around America for the rest of the year.

Cirque De L'esclave.

27 dolphins have been abducted and then sold to Resorts World in Singapore. Two of them died during the ordeal in Langkawi, so the rest were sent to the Philippines to wait for their new enclosures and new lives as entertainment slaves in Sentosa.

Cheating Sons have written and composed a song called "Cirque de l'esclave" to show their support, I urge you all to visit www.saddestdolphins.com and show yours.

Small Works 2011 Exhibition Dates.

I will be exhibiting all of my Sky Children series (the first of the three is pictured above) at the Brunswick Street Gallery as part of their Small Works 2011 competition. Each illustration is framed and on sale for $130 per pop.

It will run from the 14th—30th of June with the announcement of the winners on the opening night, Friday 17th June from 6pm onwards.

Brunswick Street Gallery is opposite Bar Open at 322 Brunswick St, Fitzroy.

This is Es, one of the three Sky Children that I'm submitting for Small Works.

Here are a couple of illustration ideas for mapping mind and emotive patterns projected by sky children. I'll be submitting them as my last minute entry into BSG's Small Works 2011.

Inversion Studios rebranding.

Currently rebranding a recording studio based in Singapore called Inversion Studios. Set up by old friend and Meza Virs lead vocalist Cedric Chew, I'll be reworking their identity with new business cards, stationary and possibly a web site.

Cheating Sons album artwork.

I have finally completed all the digipack artwork for the Cheating Sons two weeks ago and have been totally taking a break since (activities during this period including Big Day Out and Tool side show, yay!) Die Vader Die teaser pic.

An early teaser pic from the Die Vader Die photoshoot last year that was shot with the help of Lauren Olney. And before anyone starts questioning about the poor little tapes, no good cassettes were harmed, only the really horrible ones were sacrificed for the shoot.

Sketchbook Projects 2011.

I'm participating in the Sketchbook Projects 2011, a project where you submit sketchbooks which will join thousands of others in a massive gallery tour across America. The submission deadline is January 15th so I'm trying my best to fill up all the pages right now!

The end of the year approaches and my work pile builds up as I continue working on freelance gigs with bands the Cheating Sons and Die Vader Die. I'm also trying to find some time to start on Still Warm issue 2, continue working on musical collaborative projects with Pomme De La Pomme, Staring Incident and David Carla as well as composing new tunes for my own personal musical exploration: Eff Loves You (there are new tracks on the myspace page).

On another note, I like this girl and I have a silly new hair cut.

Cheating Sons Photoshoot.

Yesterday was spent spray painting bokchoy, rice and some meat gold with members from Cheating Sons in preparation for their album cover photoshoot. Despite being massively hung over from the night before with some friends and their vocalist Renyi, the shoot went well and I'm excited to get into the project soon. Cheating Sons is possibly one of the best rock and roll bands I've heard from Singapore because of their unique sound.
